Reolink PoE Camera – Real World Power Usage
We use a number of Reolink cameras in the garden to watch nature, in particular we have five of the Reolink RLC-410 5MP cameras which work very well for us.
The data for the camera says that its power consumption is <10W which is certainly correct but seems to allow a significant safety margin. A lot of PoE switches supply 55W so that would limit you to five cameras if the above spec was taken into account.
The video below explains the measurements we took and how we found that the power was significantly lower than the value stated in the datasheet.
